The Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance will be enjoying its 27th annual car events show. Auto enthusiasts from around the world will join in many car events, but this is the most prestigious car show in the world.

This year The Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance will be celebrating the Magnificent Brass Era. This will be followed next year with the Golden Era Classics. Crowds will be drawn in to view these beautiful automobiles which include the American Undersling, Thomas Flyer, Pungs-Finch, Columbia, Oldsmobile and many more vintage cars. Not many car events feature these antique automobiles with brass frames, radiators, and headlamps which are all part of the Brass Era automobiles. Entered in this years' competition will be approximately 300 classic and antique cars.

Many car events only include one type of car, but the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance will also feature 100 year old automobiles from 1905 and earlier. These will include Packard, Maxwell, Stanley, and more. Another display will have cars from the Muscle Car era showcasing such cars as the Chrysler Hemi-engine convertible. You will also want to see the rare exhibit of Italian automobiles that will be on display.

Sponsors for this car event include the Ford Motor Company and Chrysler. For this 2005 event, Peter Horbury, Ford's Executive Director, has been chosen as Honorary Chairperson.

Meadow Brook Hall is located on the campus of Oakland University. All proceeds from this major car event will benefit the Meadow Brook Hall's restoration and upkeep. This amazing car show is just one of many car events going on during the first week of August in Michigan. Other car events include a group of women who will be showing their classic automobiles, an exhibit featuring the new Volkswagen Passat, and you won't want to miss the artists showcasing their automobile artwork which will also be for sale.
